Firestone takes Commercial Customers from Cambridge to Budapest via Newmarket

EPDM roofing and lining membrane specialist, Firestone Building Products, took a group of its commercial roofing customers on a ‘thank you’ race day to Newmarket Racecourse, topping off the event with a performance from ‘Budapest’ singer, George Ezra.

The packed day of networking and corporate entertainment continues a long-standing tradition at Firestone, with the company arranging similar events on an annual basis to thank key customers for their commitment, loyalty and success.

The customers attending were invited to join the Firestone team with their partners for a fast-paced day of sport and music, beginning at Hotel Felix in Cambridge; a luxury boutique hotel where the licensed commercial roofing delegates met for a welcome buffet.

Having checked in and enjoyed their welcome feast, the delegates then boarded a coach to Newmarket Racecourse where they were treated to a Champagne reception, followed by a three course dinner before the race programme of six races.

Once the last horses had hurtled past the finishing line, Firestone’s guests relaxed to the dulcet tones of Brit and MTV Award-winning George Ezra, before returning for an overnight stay at the Felix and final farewells the following morning, with an obligatory photocall on the steps of the hotel.

Mark Rowe from UK Roof Solutions commented: “We have recently become a Firestone Licensed Contractor, which recognises the quality of workmanship we offer and the number of RubberGard EPDM roofing membrane projects we have completed over the past year.

“We were delighted to be invited to this fantastic event.  It’s just one of the ways in which Firestone really works collaboratively with contractors and it has topped off a great year in which the company has provided excellent technical and customer support so that we can always ensure great results for our own customers.”

James Cave, managing director of Firestone in the UK and Ireland adds: “It’s hugely satisfying in these busy times that so many of our valued customers are willing to take time out to celebrate our shared success in this way and continue to build on the relationships that lie at the heart of our continuing supplier/contractor partnership.

“We are thrilled that so many guests were able to join us and that they enjoyed the variety of entertainment, refreshments and relaxed chat throughout the event.”
